Matthew Magnus is a Los Angeles–based multi-hyphenate creative director and storyteller whose work bridges culture, community, and visual narrative. With a focus on film directing, video editing, photography, and design, Matthew’s practice centers on crafting emotionally resonant stories that live across digital, social, and experiential spaces.

A graduate of Columbia College Hollywood with a BFA in Cinema, Matthew has collaborated with clients and artists including Avant Garden Records, ALTRA Running, W Magazine Korea, New Balance, YouTube Music, Secret Los Angeles, Emotional Oranges, Chiiild, Evan Fong, and Apple Music Radio. As Content Director at Avant Garden, he’s led global music and lifestyle campaigns, while as co-founder of Second Nature Collective, he uses creative storytelling to build community and environmental awareness across Los Angeles.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Matthew taps into his roots to tell human stories with depth, purpose, and intention — always searching for meaning through an intimate, hands-on creative process.
